MINORIA: TEXIS
A temporary structure
woven from
independent traces.
ORAC Gallery presents Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski and selected artists at Spectrum Chicago 2026. Anchored by Wzloty / Ascent, the presentation brings painting, sculpture, moving image and conceptual practice into focus. TEXIS names a temporary act of joining: distinct artistic languages, materials and ways of seeing brought into relation, each retaining its own autonomy. The Chicago presentation continues MINORIA chapters developed in Venice in dialogue with the 2026 Venice Biennale.
“The space between works is not empty. It is where the exhibition begins — and where it continues after it has ended.”

The Tool series
Artists
ORAC Gallery’s continuing programme includes Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski, Chantia Malaja and Alicja Maciejko. The Chicago presentation brings their work into relation with invited artists Mike Baur, Victoria Fuller, Joyce Yu-Jean Lee and Blaze Lojewski.
Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski
ORAC Gallery Programme
Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski works across painting, relief and large-scale installation. Since the 1970s, his independent visual language has developed through light, structure, tension and the encounter between opposing forms.
Mike Baur
Chicago Presentation
Mike Baur is an American sculptor whose practice is grounded in weight, stability and construction. Working in the Chicago area for decades, he brings the logic of architectural scale into concentrated objects in industrial and natural materials.
Victoria Fuller
Chicago Presentation
Victoria Fuller is a Chicago-based artist with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her What Knots series transforms garden hoses into three-dimensional line drawings informed by mathematical, molecular and traditional knot structures.
Joyce Yu-Jean Lee
Chicago Presentation
Joyce Yu-Jean Lee works across video, glass sculpture, photography and interactive installation. Her recent works bring kiln-formed glass and moving image together to examine climate care, attention and ecological interdependence.
Blaze Lojewski
Chicago Presentation
Blaze Lojewski is the creator of Psychism, an artistic concept centred on the perceptual activity of the viewer. Minimal structure, tactile surfaces and spatial ambiguity activate imagination, projection and memory.
Alicja Maciejko
ORAC Gallery Programme
Alicja Maciejko is an architect and visual artist. In Elements, architectural thinking becomes a visual language of balance, rhythm and spatial tension, keeping the relationship between matter, space and perception open.
Chantia Malaja
ORAC Gallery Programme
Chantia Malaja develops a practice centred on transformation, layering, care and the gradual emergence of form. Her ongoing Pearl cycle traces subtle shifts between fragility and resilience, visibility and concealment.
Monika Turczyńska
MINORIA / Conceptual work
Monika Turczyńska’s artistic practice develops through MINORIA, a long-form project concerned with trace, perception, emergence and disappearance. Conceptual protocols, text and material gestures establish conditions for an artwork to unfold.

The Monolith
A threshold
to inner space.
The Monolith extends Blaze Lojewski’s Psychism into a spatial encounter. The cinematic and cosmic image of the monolith becomes a structure for perception, imagination and the viewer’s inner field.
The sale of The Monolith will support Towarzystwo Opieki nad Ociemniałymi (the Society for the Care of the Blind) in Laski, Poland.
